Megan is the founder of Solstice Healing Center, a holistic wellness center located in Maryland, USA. Since 2002, she has devoted her career to both the medical and wellness industries. After exploring the world of western medicine through the lens of nursing and then hospital administration at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Campus, she shifted her expertise and focus to prevention as opposed to illness. Concurrently, she was overwhelmed by her burning desire to travel, explore the world and expand her knowledge. She has traveled to 46 of the 50 United States as well as numerous trips overseas to Europe and Central America before landing in San Francisco, CA. There, she managed the marketing efforts and community development for an integrative medical clinic in Marin County and its growth burst at the seams.
From there, she took a leap of faith and reconnected with her roots as a healer. She obtained her massage therapy license and pursued her degree in Acupuncture learning from one of the country's top institutions - The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is currently earning her Doctoral Degree in 5 Element Acupuncture at Maryland University of Integrative Health under the lineage of Bob Duggan, Dianne Connelly and J.R. Worsley. Megan is eager to share her vast knowledge of traditional and alternative healing through connecting with self and nature...and eager to hop on a plane any weekend to do so!
